In addition to being a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Curtis Nelson was also born and raised in Paradise, CA and his hometown is decimated from an ongoing wildfire. His family is safe and accounted for, but we are trying to help out his community as much as we can, so we are setting up donation boxes in the pub and asking people to drop off clean warm clothing or non-perishable food. Curtis is going to take all the donations to California on Friday morning, so we are asking that if you have anything you can donate, please bring it to the brewery anytime before we close on Thursday. Curtis said one of the biggest gifts appreciated would be a warm meal, and that there is an Applebee’s, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster all within walking distances of the shelters and hotels displaced people are staying at. You can get gift cards to all of those restaurants at a local grocery store near you, if that’s the easiest way to get it and then drop those off at the brewery, too.
